What Is reCaptcha and Why Do I Have To Do It?

reCAPTCHA is a system that enables web hosts to distinguish between human and automated access to websites. 

Most sites today have security measures in place to determine whether or not you are a human being or a bot when creating an account. There will generally be a box that you will need to manually click that says "I'm not a robot," which looks like this:

You will then have to complete a quick quiz, often in the form of clicking a series of pictures. For example:
