The TalentBoost upgrade is a programmatic job distribution which will use an automated algorithm to get your job posted within a network of top aggregator sites, based on where the talent you need is currently searching! This model uses a performance-based (pay-per-click) model to have your job distributed for maximum exposure and candidate interest based on candidate behavior (i.e. what candidates are searching for and where). As this is a performance-based model, we cannot provide an exact list of where your job will be distributed or for how long. Each listing is unique! The system will monitor the performance of the ad and move it to the sites where it is getting the most traction to ensure you get the quality of candidates for the best CPC (cost-per-click) possible. No guesswork, the system handles all of the optimization for you!
We can offer some tips when creating your ad to make sure it get distributed to the talent pool you need:
- Use a meaningful and easy to understand job title. Think of job titles your ideal talent might use when searching for you vs. using internal jargon to your organization.
- 150+ words for your posting. This is actually a minimum, but it is recommended to make your posting robust and include all pertinent information about the position - don't leave your candidate with any questions!
- Anonymous/Confidential posting is not recommended. Some of the sites in the TalentBoost network do not accept confidential postings. Additionally it does make it hard for the automated algorithm to match you with the best sites.
- Include a city, state, and zip code for the location of your posting. If this is left blank, your posting will be set to a default location (St. Petersburg, FL) which will make it harder for your talent to find you, as well as cause trouble with the distribution of your ad.
- Exclude application instructions from the body of the posting. Some of the sites in the TalentBoost network do not accept ads which state the application info in the verbiage. Additionally, it makes it hard to track where your talent came from which, in turn, is how the algorithm learns where talent is most actively looking!
- Email application method (only) is recommended. Some of the sites in the TalentBoost network do not accept ads which redirect to a URL for application. Using a URL redirect will limit where your ad can be sent. Some sites also will not support ads with multiple application options (such as email + job board portal application).
- Duplication rules are in place to prevent your ad from re-posting to sites within the TalentBoost network where you might have already paid to directly post. This means your performance-based (cost-per click) distribution will not be eaten up by duplicate ads.
Keep in mind that the distribution of this job through the TalentBoost network is meant to put your ad in front of candidates who have been searching for employment in your field. The algorithm is smart and is not going to target employers when distributing, meaning your internal team is not the audience for the posting. If you do happen across the ad within its distribution, we do not recommend clicking on it. As this is a cost-per click model, you will want to save all those clicks for your potential candidates!
The TalentBoost upgrade is performance-based rather than time-based, most aggressively marketing your job within about the first 20 days of posting.
