Have you ever thought about taking a position which would require you move to an area you don't know much about? We are here to help! Our new Community Intel feature will give you some quick stats on the area in/around where the job you are looking at is located.
(values in screenshot are examples only and may differ from live data)
Data is collected and updated regularly using reputable sources, including corporate websites and governmental reporting institutions.
Please note that values are dynamic and will change based on the area you are searching (such as currency changes or distance/unit of volume when looking at non-US locations)
- Median Salary - The median monthly salary for the area you are looking at. Please note that this is based on the area as a whole, not the specific industry or organization you are looking at.
- Cost of Living Index - Cost of living is compared on a scale to New York City, with the baseline index of 100 for NYC. The index compares the relative prices of consumer goods (like groceries, restaurants, transportation, and utilities) and is estimated based on average living expenses for a 4-person family. It excludes expenses such as rent or mortgage.
- Median Apartment Rent in City Center - Scale for a 1-3 bedroom apartment.
- Safety Index - Presented on a 0-100 scale and derived from user-contributed data and perceptions (which may differ from official government statistics).
- Basic Utilities - Estimated price range for electricity, heating, cooling, water, and garbage for a 915 sq ft apartment.
- High Speed Internet - Estimated price range for high speed internet (especially important for remote or hybrid work!)
- Gasoline - Typical cost per gallon (or similar converted unit)
- Taxi Ride - Typical cost per mile (or similar converted unit)
