reCAPTCHA is a service from Google that helps protect websites from spam and abuse. It runs automatically on many popular browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari. This can sometimes cause errors or blocks when your PC or IP is suspected of sending automated/unusual traffic. As reCaptcha's service is run on a browser-to-browser basis via Google, any errors that may come up cannot be cleared by our support team. We can offer the following best practice tips, though, which may help alleviate the issue:
1) Restart the computer
2) Make sure the browser is up to date
3) Use another internet browser (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc)
4) Try restarting your router to get a new IP (If you're on a shared network, someone else’s activity might be causing the reCaptcha prompts.)
5) Use another device (i.e. switch from a PC to a phone/tablet or vice versa)
6) Manually enter email address and password, instead of browser autofill login credentials
7) Directly connect to the network instead of using a VPN/proxy/firewall
8) Clear browser cache and cookies or use an incognito window
9) Delete the "User Data" folder in Chrome, and restart Chrome (if applicable)
10) Deactivate browser extensions
11) Disable Ad Blockers
12) Enable JavaScript
13) Try again later
Viruses and Malware can also be a cause of reCaptcha errors. It is always recommended to have an antivirus program on your device. If it has not been run recently, it would be recommended to allow it to scan your device.
